#012 of the Fort Gratiot Series is a REMUS model built with a distinctive combination of European spruce and Ovangkol. The light European spruce top creates a beautiful contrast with the darker, richly striped Ovangkol back and sides, while bloodwood binding adds a thin reddish accent around the body. Its cutaway design gives #012 a more modern, performance-focused appearance while still keeping the natural woodwork at the center of the instrument.
Ebony is used for both the bridge and fretboard, providing a deep, clean contrast against the spruce top. A Buckeye burl rosette brings additional character around the soundhole, while the Cocobolo head plate and Gotoh tuners complete the upper end of the guitar with a refined look. A 650mm scale and bone nut and saddle round out this handcrafted REMUS, making #012 one of the most visually distinctive instruments in the series.
